WBRU Summer Concert Series

August 17th, 2008

Paramore

The Newport Creamery ice cream truck just returned from Providence Piers. It was a full day at the WBRU Summer Concert series. Phantom Planet, Jack’s Mannequin and Paramore were all terrific, and gave the crowd of over 5,000 people more than their money’s worth.

The valued Newport Creamery employees on the truck stayed busy all day making Awful Awful’s for the masses!

The highlight of the day…our new friend Haley Williams of Paramore enjoying her first Awful Awful!

BTW, it was Strawberry.

Till next time… Peace.

In case you haven’t heard the news…our NEW menu is now available in all 13 Newport Creamery restaurants!

All of the menus have some great new additions, but the breakfast menu is worth mentioning in itself. With a slew of new items, including; Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Breakfast Mega Melt sandwiches…how can you go wrong? Oh yeah, and I dare you to try finishing the Holy Cow Breakfast in one sitting. That breakfast is BIG!

Check out the other menu additions, including: the Appetizer Sampler, Creamery Dog, Beef & Blue Wrap and even a Veggie Burger.

If you’re starting to get hungry like I am, click on our Menu Items and see what looks good to you. We’ll see you soon.

Celebrity Scoop!

May 1st, 2008

We are extremely pleased to say that Celebrity Scoop events went incredibly well. The turnout was great and I’d like to thank all of you that came down to show your support for both The Tomorrow Fund and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Rhode Island. Both are very worthy causes. Thanks to all of you, we were able to raise $500.00 for each organization. That’s $1,000.00 total! We hope that you enjoyed the events, as much as we enjoyed hosting them.

Feel free to check out our Events Page if you’d like to check out more events that we will be taking part in or even if you would like us to be a part of an event of your own! You will find all appropriate contact information there. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Southern New England Women’s Expo

Newport Creamery Presenting The Check From Scooping At The Women’s Expo - Proceeds To The Gloria Gemma Foundation

I just got back from the 3rd Annual Southern New England Women’s Expo. It was a great time for all. The Crowne Plaza was packed, as Women drifted through from table to table. As we did last year, we had a Newport Creamery table at the expo. It serves as a great way to speak to YOU, our regular visitors and introduce everyone to our Summer Ice Cream flavors. Most importantly though, it gives us the chance to raise some money for a very worthy cause…The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.

We charge $1.00 a scoop, and give all the money to the Foundation. During the past two expo’s, we have raised close to $800!

Above you can see the fantastic picture (that’s me blinking in the middle) of the crew from Newport Creamery (myself, Angelica and Stephanie) presenting the Foundation with this year’s “big check”.

That is an amazingly big check…I hope they don’t have to go to the “big bank” to cash it.

Until next time…

After Just A Couple Of Days Of Construction - Newport Creamery - Garden City

It is amazing to see what our construction team has done.

This is what a restaurant looks like almost completely gutted.

Unbelievable.

Construction Has Begun…

March 25th, 2008

Garden City Interior - Before

Interior Of Newport Creamery - Garden City (Before Construction)

After months of plans, designs, concepts, etc. we finally began construction on the Garden City, Cranston location of Newport Creamery.  When the restaurant returns after a few weeks of an “extreme makeover” we hope that you like what you see.  It will be a “refreshed” version of Newport Creamery.  Bigger and better.

I’m not going to go into great detail, as it will ultimately look better than any description I can make.  Just wait until you see it…

The most important thing, is any changes that were made, were done after doing extensive research.  We spoke to you, our customers, and you explained that you like our food, like our service…but want to see the restaurants “refreshed” a little.  And that is what we are doing.

I’ll have some early pictures of construction in my next posting…

Just wait until next week!

Until then, have a great week.
